Someone recently commented that there was no information about who we are at all. That was accurate. Let me introduce myself. My name is Rejean, and I am a transplanted Canadian who came to Arizona in the late 80's. I had the joy of living in Sedona for the first 8 years here, and became vegan in 1989, and quickly gained an appreciation for natural foods and organic produce. Although I grew up on a large farm, I never imagined I would be a farmer myself. I started growing sprouts 25 years ago, and became one of the first certified organic growers in Arizona in 1994. That sprout business is still in operation today, and you can purchase them in various natural food stores here in Arizona.
At some point, I had the opportunity to take over the position of caretaker of the this most unique and amazing grove of date trees that was planted long before I was born. The Black Sphinx dates had captured my attention in the 1980's. Here in Arizona, they have long been known as the best date available.
My love of fruit trees is obvious to those who know me. I have over 100 fruit trees of various varieties on my property just north of Phoenix, including figs, citrus, peaches, apricots, and a whole host of others including dates.
